The Epilogue Book Co is an Australian independent bookstore for people who love romance — the swoony kind, the messy kind, the can't-put-it-down-until-I've-finished-it kind.

The Epilogue idea started because we wanted somewhere to find the books we were excited about.

The books that have you highlighting passages, texting your friends “YOU NEED TO READ THIS”, falling completely in love with fictional people and not quite knowing what to do with yourself when you reach the last page.

And while there are plenty of places to buy a book, we wanted The Epilogue to feel a little different.

A place where you might discover an author you've never read before.

A place where an indie author's book sits alongside a favourite you've been waiting for.

A place where you can find something for yourself, something for your bookshelf or something for the friend who always has a book in their hand.

So, what's on the shelves?

Romance. Lots of romance. 😉

Contemporary, small town, dark, sports, romantasy and everything in between.

We're especially excited about Indie and Australian authors, because some of the best stories are coming from authors who don't always get the same space on the shelves as the big names.

If we love a book, we want to share it.

Simple as that.

And then there's the fun stuff...

Because we know a good reading day isn't just about the book.

It's the coffee beside you. The blanket. The bookmark you've had for years. The candle burning in the background. The little things that turn “I'm going to read for a bit” into an entire afternoon.

So we're slowly building a collection of bookish goodies, gifts and other things that make those moments even better.

And yes, every book that leaves The Epilogue gets a little extra love before it heads your way.

Because we think opening a new book should be part of the fun.

The Epilogue Book Co is proudly Australian owned and independently run from regional Victoria.

It's a small business, built around a very big love of books and we're still figuring out exactly where this little adventure will take us.

For now, we're pretty happy being here — finding good books, discovering new authors and helping you find the next story you're going to obsess over.

So if you're the person who gets emotionally attached to fictional characters, judges a book by its tropes and thinks “I probably shouldn't buy another book” right before buying another book...
